Waikato District Health Board, Hamilton, New Zealand Position No. 50910-23590 Dermatology provides a secondary and tertiary dermatology service to the people of Waikato at Waikato hospital. A new position has been approved for a Dermatologist to join our existing 3 Dermatologists in meeting the increasing demand for Dermatology services and to develop the regional service to other District Health Boards within the Midlands region. The current dermatologists are academically inclined with two being associate professors. There is a special interest in online medical education, telemedicine and skin cancer management This is a challenging role which demands outstanding professional skills, commitment to the specialty and a vision of providing a team-based service founded on excellence in all aspects of the business. Consideration will be given to Dermatologists who may only want to work part time in the public health service or a long term locum position. There is an academic division of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, University of Auckland on site along with a well equipped clinical school which acts as a teaching and training centre for an increasing number of undergraduates and postgraduate medical and allied health science students.
