Riyad Seervai

Riyad Seervai

Dermatopathology Fellow, MD, PhD


Bio

Dr. Seervai is a dermatopathology fellow at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He trained in dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University, where he served as chief resident and AAD ambassador to the residency program. Before that, he double-majored in molecular biology and music at Brown University, and completed the MD/PhD medical-scientist training program at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Seervai has led and authored research studies in leading basic science and dermatology journals, and presented his work at national and international meetings including annual meetings of the American Society for Cell Biology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatopathology, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. He has received multiple awards and scholarships during dermatology training, including presentation and travel awards from the Oregon Dermatology Society, the AAD quality improvement award, the ASDP mentorship award, and the EADV Imrich Sarkany award. His clinical and research interests include oncodermatology, complex medical dermatology, and cutaneous lymphoma.
