Pompholyx

Describe the clinical features of this condition.

A symmetrical chronic relapsing vesicular dermatitis known as pompholyx or dyshidrotic eczema affects the central part of the sole and between the toes. The palms are nearly always affected as well. It is an endogenous eczema, aggravated by stress and sweating. Pompholyx is intensely itchy and relatively resistant to treatment.
