Superficial basal cell carcinoma (BCC)

Other superficial BCCs, melanomas, and solar keratoses

Biopsy of lesion to confirm diagnosis

What is the treatment?

Treatment depends on the expertise of the practitioner. Referral to a dermatologist is recommended. A special technique of cryotherapy using spray apparatus is suitable, curettage and electrosurgery an alternative. The lesion is too large to excise with primary closure.
