Sweet disease or acute neutrophilic dermatosis
What features distinguish it from other pustular conditions?
Sweet disease (acute neutrophilic dermatosis) is characterised by inflammatory plaques, often with superimposed vesicles and pustules. It is associated with mucosal lesions, fever and neutrophilia. It is often associated with a haematological disorder or inflammatory bowel disease, and settles with systemic steroids or dapsone.
