What is this condition?
Kerion due to Trichophyton verrucosum (cattle ringworm).
What features distinguish it from other pustular conditions?
A kerion is a form of tinea in which boggy inflammatory plaque studded with pustules. Systemic antifungals are indicated as topical agents may not penetrate deeply enough.
