Sebaceous hyperplasia
Describe the disorder
Sebaceous hyperplasia may be mistaken for a small BCC, as it presents as one or more skin-coloured facial papules. Look for the central follicular pit. Dermatoscopy shows a symmetrical pattern of sebaceous lobules, and telangiectasia leading from the centre. The appearance may be improved by electrosurgery but they often recur.
