What is this skin problem?
Subcorneal pustular dermatosis
How would you treat it?
The patient presented with an acute eruption most prominent in the flexures. She had fever, malaise and bright red annular plaques that were studded with numerous superficial (subcorneal) pustules.
Subcorneal pustular dermatosis, or Sneddon-Wilkinson disease, is a variant of acute generalised pustular psoriasis. It is treated with rest, bland topical agents, and in this patient with oral acitretin.
