Case 6

Seborrhoeic dermatitis

Seborrhoeic dermatitis is generally present in the scalp, hairline, eyebrows and/or nasal creases when it arises in the axillae. Ill-defined, thin and irregular, salmon pink plaques are asymptomatic or mildly irritating.
The rash generally improves or clears with topical imidazole cream or shampoo but may recur. Occasionally, hydrocortisone is required for a few days to reduce itch.
