What is the name for the skin condition?
Blue nails. Bluish pigmentation due to a drug may rarely affect the skin, mucosae and nails
What medications may be responsible?
Minocycline, generally after several years of treatment in a middle-aged or elderly patient.
What management would you recommend?
Minocycline pigmentation is slowly reversible after the drug is stopped. Q-switched Nd-YAG laser treatment may be used for facial deposits if the patient is anxious for more rapid resolution.
