Psoriasis has common and uncommon presentations, with varying distribution and local features. A patient may have more than one type of psoriasis at the same or different times. The main characteristics of psoriatic lesions are symmetrical distribution, well-demarcated morphology, scaling and persisten ce.

Flexural psoriasis
What are the features?
Inverse or flexural psoriasis is located in body folds, such as behind ears, axillae, submammary sites, umbilicus, abdominal and inguinal folds, genitals and natal cleft. In these areas the plaques tend to be moist and shiny.
