Sweet disease
How would you treat it?
Acute neutrophilic dermatoses include Sweet disease; the neck is a frequent site for blistered or pseudovesicular plaques to appear in association with fever and neutrophil leucocytosis. These may recur. Some patients with Sweet disease have underlying myeloid dyscrasias or inflammatory bowel disease; in others it is due to streptococcal infection elsewhere.
Sweet disease responds well to systemic steroids or dapsone.
